Description
Low Vitamin D does not cause high calcium. Dr James Norman from the Norman Parathyroid Center speaks with a group of endocrinologists during and AACE meeting. You will learn that almost all patients with primary hyperparathyroidism have low vitamin D and then after the parathyroid tumor is removed the vitamin D goes back to normal. You will also hear that you need to be very careful when giving vitamin D to hypercalcemic patients and that low vitamin D should help endocrinologists diagnose primary hyperparathyroidism
